SAMSARA'S EDGE

"...One of the most striking releases of the year so far....edgy yet sensual...."
Lloyd Barde, Backroads music

David Hannibal and Cait McWhir, co-founding members of the now defunct Bay Area band Haunted by Waters, announce the release of their debut CD and new project - SAMSARA'S EDGE.
2 years in the making, Samsara's Edge was composed entirely by David and Cait in their East Bay Studio with the aid of David's production and studio wizardry. The 8 songs featured on the CD are an intriguing and beautiful blend of multi- textured electronic and hypnotic grooves & melodies with vocalist Cait McWhir's trademark blend of sensuous Mid-Eastern and Celtic influenced vocals adding a definite other-worldly feel to the mixes. Oakland poet Juan Domingo throws a couple of mesmerizing spoken word pieces into the musical pot. There's still a world music flavor to many of the songs, but overall it falls into the more ambient or even trip-hop categories.

FAQ: What's a Samsara's Edge?

Yikes, we were afraid you'd ask that. It's a Buddhist term. Samsara is that endless realm of ILLUSION that we're all dealing with in this existence and here we all are, stuck in this wheel going round and round...the deal is that we are supposed to get out of this endless loop - the loop of Samsara. So, maybe the edge of Samsara is a place where you can feel NIRVANA all around you. Where you can jump into the bliss of it, taste it, swim in it......That's where we wanna be.
Go check out the music. We hope you like it.
